Syncing Mobile App to Web Portal

Note

It is very important to sync as frequently as possible and at least at the end of a day.

You must have network coverage while syncing.

Follow these steps at the end of a day of verification:

How to sync your Mobile App

You can sync your mobile app from any screen by clicking on the Kebab menu (3 vertical dots in top right corner) → "Sync":

How to view sync status

Go to "Main Menu

" and click on "SAMS Diagnostics" to see your sync status:

  • Last Sync Date/Time:

...

  • This is the date and time of the last time you synced.
  • Records Queue:

...

  • This is data which have been captured on your mobile device, but not yet synced from the SAMS Mobile

...

  • App to the SAMS Web portal.

...

  • This should always be "0" before you click on "Logout".
  • Attachments Queue:

...

  • This refers to photos or signature's captured on your mobile device, but not yet synced from the SAMS Mobile Application on your mobile device to the SAMS Web portal.

  • This should always be "0" before you click on "Logout".

Click on "Refresh Sync Status" when "Records Queue" or "Attachments Queue" is not "0".

Click on "Logout".  The following screen will appear, and you can close the SAMS Mobile Application on your device:

Syncing different modules

It is important to take note that certain data is only downloaded to the device once the role has been switched to a new role.
I.e. if a user switches from Movables Admin to Immovables Admin, there will be additional data that is synced to the device (and de-synced).

Users should be at a stable connection when switching roles.

Sync Report showing asset photos without BLOBs

The purpose of this report is to list users who needs to sync their Mobile Apps. This is to ensure photos captured in field during asset take-on and verification are synced and available on the Web Portal.

The intention is for the Project Manager (PM) to make this report part of their daily checks during in-field verification days. It is enable the PM to check that all asset photos captured in field during that day have been synced correctly by the users from their mobile app to the web portal.

Access this report on the Web Portal by navigating to "Settings" → System Monitoring" → "Asset Photos Without BLOBs":
