How to download reports

Follow these steps:
1. A report in CSV format will be downloaded: Navigate to the report → On the report click on the which appears in the bottom left hand corner.
2. A report in Excel or PDF format will be downloaded: More → Reports → Show → Export to PDF format or Export to Excel format.

How to convert CSV reports to Excel

When you open a CSV report in Excel, any leading zeros and zeros between a “R” and numbers are removed.
1. For example: On SAMS the asset barcode is “001111” and the room barcode is “R001”. When you open the CSV exported from SAMS, the asset barcode is shown as “1111” and the room barcode as “R1”.
Therefore, you have to convert the CSV report to Excel in order to ensure that the asset and room barcodes agree to SAMS data. This can be done by using Google Sheets.
1. In Google Sheets, open a blank spreadsheet.
2. Select file → Select Import → Select Upload → drag and drop the CSV file you would like to upload (do not open the CSV file before it was converted to Excel)
3. Select “No” under “Convert text to numbers, dates, and formulas. Click on “Import data”.
4. Once imported, download the document in Excel format.
