Nr.QuestionAnswer
1.

I am receiving the following screen(that I need to set a password) when switching on my device. I used the default password 0000, but is still not working. Please assist.

This issue needs to be escalated to VSDM, as VSDM needs to deactivate the Policy that asks for new passcodes.

See google document to this example: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1eDyM9MlKFKtDhguWf2iwoiFHyMD7W_GRzd4uu5HMo_o/edit

2.

Please assist as the device reseted automatically and needs to be setup again. See screenshot attached.

This happens when users ignore the warning message (as per screenshot) and continued to try and set their password.

The device needs to be setup again with the eLABS application and launcher.

See google document to this example: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1eDyM9MlKFKtDhguWf2iwoiFHyMD7W_GRzd4uu5HMo_o/edit

3.

Please assist as I am receiving the message that my date and time is incorrect. I am unable to correct my date and time in settings as the device is in launcher mode. See screenshots attached.

  • Please note that you need to get in contact with VSDM support or your first line support who have the passcodes in order to assist, as device are locked on VSDM.
  • VSDM runs a policy (profile setup) to update each devices date and time
  • Please note that data is needed on each device to ensure that the above policy is up to date at all times.
  • eLABS RSA have a feature to check if the device's date and time are correct and will give the alert as per screenshot provided, if the date and time is not correct.

See google document to this example: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1eDyM9MlKFKtDhguWf2iwoiFHyMD7W_GRzd4uu5HMo_o/edit
